The Future of Custom Apparel from RushOrderTees CEO Michael Nemeroff

Michael Nemeroff is the CEO and co-founder of RushOrderTees, a family-owned and operated eCommerce custom apparel company. Founded in 2002 when Michael was a Junior in highschool, RushOrderTees specializes in quick turnaround times for anyone from small businesses to Fortune 500 companies.  Over the past 18 years the company has focused on improving its processes and is currently the industry leader with its state-of-the-art design studio and quality guarantee.

What does your company do?

We are an eCommerce company that prints custom t-shirts and apparel on rush deadlines. Our customers include small businesses Fortune 500 companies, schools, nonprofits, and individuals. Really, anyone who wants custom t-shirts, sweatshirts, hats, sweatpants, jerseys, tank tops for any event is a good fit for us.

If you could start over, what would you do differently?

I’d go heavier into tech, marketing, and sales earlier. I think we’d be 2-3x the size we are now, maybe even the market leader if we had. And, I would’ve started with the name Printfly, which is the name of our parent company. The name RushOrderTees limits us in people’s minds to t-shirts made quickly, but we do so much more than that.

What do you think is the future of your industry?

The future of our industry is definitely eCommerce.  We’re making it faster and easier every day for customers to access us online. COVID-19 has really accelerated the change in buying habits nationwide, so eCommerce will become mainstream even quicker. Local t-shirt shops are awesome and phenomenal printers, but I imagine this will change the way people feel about buying custom apparel for the foreseeable future.
