Bahrain National Day is celebrated in today’s Doodle. After centuries of foreign rule, Isa bin Salman Al Khalifa came to power on this date in 1971.
The traditional Khaleeji music of violins and rebabs fills the air during the two-day National Day celebrations. People are entertained until the sun goes down by magnificent fireworks, cultural concerts, acrobatic performances, magic, and laser shows.
At night, beautiful lights enlighten up to a portion of a mile of city roads and walkways. National flags are used to decorate buildings all over the country, like the one in today’s Doodle.
Bahrain, happy National Day!
