Women’s basketball championship in Division III for 2024: Schedule, Scores and More

The 2024 NCAA Division III Women’s Basketball Championship was announced at the Feb. 26 selection show. The first round begins on Friday, March 1st and continues through the National Championship Game on March 16th at the Capital Center Performance Arena in Columbus, Ohio.

Transylvania defeated Christopher Newport 57-52 to record a perfect season at 33-0 and win the first national championship in program history, making them the reigning national champions.

NCAA DIII Women’s Championship History

Since 1982, the DIII Women’s Basketball Tournament has been held every year except for the 2020 and 2021 seasons, which were canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Louis, from the University of Washington in St. Paul, recorded four championships and Hope won three.
