When you think of baseball, it’s hard not to think of great baseball food. Fans of this year’s London Series can look forward to a treat at London Stadium when the New York Mets take on the Philadelphia Phillies on 8th and 9th June.
Stars such as Bryce Harper, Trea Turner, Pete Alonso and Francisco Lindor will be the main attraction, but the food on offer is just as exciting.
As in previous years, the menu is inspired by the home stadiums of both teams, while also featuring the return of fan favourites and British classics.
Here are some of the highlights of what will be available.
1. London Series Boomtown Hot Dog
The London Series legend returns in 2024. This 20-foot-long dog is stuffed with braised beef and chili and topped with jalapeños, nacho he cheese, and sour he cream. Designed to be shared between 4 friends.
2. London Series Boomtown Chili Nachos
Similar to the hot dog, fans can also try a two-foot serving of tortilla chips loaded with nacho cheese, chili, and salsas like jalapeño peppers, sour cream, and scallions.
3. Philadelphia Cheesesteak
The Philadelphia Cheesesteak is a traditional dish in the City of Brotherly Love and is the perfect game day meal. Tender beef strips, caramelized onions and peppers are topped with melted gooey cheese and served on a toasted sub.
4. New York Pastrami Sandwich
A Big Apple deli signature, the New York Pastrami Sandwich consists of thinly sliced seasoned pastrami piled high between two slices of sourdough rye bread and smothered in spicy brown mustard. .
