Martin Scorsese’s renowned crime drama “Killers of the Flower Moon,” which debuted at the Cannes Film Festival before going on sale in theatres in October, will be accessible for digital and on-demand streaming starting on Tuesday, December 5.
The R-rated film “Killers of the Flower Moon,” which has an imposing three and a half hours of running duration, has received positive reviews from critics (92% on Rotten Tomatoes) and audiences alike, earning a “A-” CinemaScore. The drama, which is based on David Grann’s 2017 novel and stars Leonardo DiCaprio and Robert DeNiro, is set during the “Reign of Terror,” which alludes to the enigmatic killings that occurred following the discovery of significant oil deposits on the Osage nation’s land in the early 1920s.
When the movie made its Cannes Film Festival debut, reviewers greeted it with immediate praise. It was named the New York Film Critics Circle’s best feature of 2023 last week. It also won best score and the Gotham Awards’ Gotham Historical Icon and Creator Tribute. Many believe that the movie will be nominated for multiple Oscars; among them are predictions for Best Actress for Lily Gladstone, Best Director and Best Picture for Scorsese, and Best Actor for Dicaprio.
