The Voice: How to Vote for Your Favorite Contestants

It’s almost time to crown a new champion on The Voice!

Two dozen contestants have emerged from the NBC singing competition since its 2011 premiere, including Cassadee Pope, Danielle Bradbery, and Brynn Cartelli.

Although the rules have changed over the years, some aspects of The Voice have remained the same, such as blind auditions. Before the live show, the coaching panel will listen to a series of auditions, but with a twist. You can’t see the performers, only hear their voices.

Once the coach is interested in the singer, he presses a button to rotate the red chair for the performer. If multiple coaches express interest, the singer gets their choice. However, if there is no coach to press the button, the candidate will be eliminated from the competition.

After the teams are formed, the contestants complete a series of competitions over several weeks, including battle rounds, knockouts, and playoffs. In addition to viewer votes, coaches can use blocks, saves, and steals to keep singers on their teams or add artists.

If selected as the winner, they will receive $100,000 and a record deal with Universal Music Group.

Season 25 of The Voice brought together John Legend, Reba McEntire, Chance the Rapper, and first-time coaches Dan + Shay. Legend, McEntire, and the country duo each had artists such as Asher Havon, Josh Sanders, Karen Waldrup, Nathan Chester, and Brian Olesen competing for the crown on May 20.
