During the early 1960s, the team went by the name of the San Francisco Warriors before becoming known as Run TMC, the Splash Brothers, Rick Barry’s championship team, and the We Believe team. Wilt Chamberlain, one of the most dominant players in NBA history, was in charge at this time, making all the decisions in the Bay.
The great big man averaged a stunning 41.5 points, 25.1 rebounds, and 3.0 assists throughout his six and a half seasons with the Warriors. It’s also undeniable that his performance during this time was excellent, even though he didn’t help his team win any titles.
Because of this, the Warriors’ signature blue and yellow uniform, which prominently features San Francisco, has become associated with Chamberlain’s tenure with the team. This justifies the jersey’s higher status as a must-have for true Warriors fans.
The first championship

Golden State experienced a long period of mediocrity when Run TMC time, and nothing the team attempted ever really paid off. All of that changed when a group of players led by Baron Davis, Stephen Jackson, Jason Richardson, Monta Ellis, and Matt Barnes was allowed to loosen up on the court and offered fans new cause for hope.
The 2006–07 Warriors, known as the “We Believe” team, inspired the Bay Area as they managed to surprise the Dallas Mavericks, who were the top seed going into the playoffs. This enormous win ignited the entire franchise and catapulted the group to new levels of popularity.
The Warriors were shown on the team’s shirt at this time in a dark blue colour with an orange outline. The ultimate result is a look that was connected to the “We Believe” team and all the positive energy it brought.
The Dynasty
Although the Golden State Warriors’ “We Believe” era didn’t last, it wouldn’t take long for the Warriors to outperform it. With players like Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, Draymond Green, and Andre Iguodala on their roster, the Dubs were able to dominate the NBA and win the title in 2015.
The Warriors went on to become a dynasty after that, and Kevin Durant joined them to help them win two more rings. After some time, the Curry-Thompson-Green combination would defeat the Boston Celtics in 2022 to win their fourth championship.
Golden State’s white and yellow jersey was the most recognisable throughout the entire course of this dynasty.
