The all-time top 5 NBA All-Star Celebrity Game players

The NBA All-Star Celebrity Game will keep fans entertained as Hollywood stars and other celebrities compete against each other. Most of the participants in the game are artists, so it is very unlikely that celebrities are familiar with this sport.

Some of them (apart from retired NBA players) left fans stunned. From musicians Justin Bieber and Snoop Dogg to ESPN host Stephen A. Smith (as coach), the NBA All-Star Celebrity Game features many famous faces. However, only a few players have stood out and shown glimpses of potential elite basketball skills.

With that in mind, here’s a list of celebs who stood out for their performances at the All-Star Celebrity Game.

Top 5 NBA All-Star Celebrity Game Players of All Time

5. Jason Sudeikis

It’s easy to spot Jason Sudeikis playing his basketball on the street in your neighborhood. The Hollywood actor is an amazing marksman, which was on display at the All-Star Game. The only reason there wasn’t much to see was that former NBA player Tracy McGrady was on the team.

In 2016, Sudeikis converted four of his seven 3-point attempts. Among all the celebrities in the entertainment business, Sudeikis has a good case to make that he is the best shooter. But that is only part of Sudeikis’ strategy. His ability to finish at the rim is quite remarkable.

4. Kevin Hart

There are several reasons why Kevin Hart has to be on that list. The comedian/actor never fails to make everyone laugh, whether he’s on the court or just sitting courtside. Hart’s enthusiasm will give everyone on the team the impression that a lot is at stake.

Despite being 1.70 m tall, Kevin Hart is a pretty good basketball player. He is fast and can dribble the basketball and run down the court. Hart is an All-Star celebrity and one of the most dominant players in his game. He won his MVP award four years in a row solely because the fans voted for him.

Hart has also been caught on camera in a big scene where he publicly challenges his retired NBA player. He also commits foul play against his own teammates and tries to start fights with the child actors. All are full of fun!

3. Nelly

This American rapper is one of his easier choices to list. One of the reasons Nelly is so good at basketball is because she started playing basketball at a young age.

In 2006, the Austin, Texas-born rapper was an All-Star in his Celebrity game in which he recorded 14 points and 12 rebounds. He was also the only player on the team to make a 3-point shot. Although the team lost 37-33, he was named the game’s MVP.

2. Terrell Owens

It may seem unfair to put Terrell Owens on the list considering he is a professional athlete. However, Owens was a successful professional soccer player and should be praised for his accomplishments on the field. He is considered one of the best wide receivers of all time and played for many NFL teams including the Philadelphia Eagles and Dallas Cowboys.

Owens was an All-Star in 2008 and 2010 when he was a Celebrity. He was named MVP in 2008, starting in the second quarter and scoring 18 points. Owens is definitely one of the best celebrities at the All-Star Celebrity Game.

1. Brian McKnight

If everything in Brian McKnight’s life had gone differently, he would have become a basketball player. The 6-foot singer played semi-pro in the ABA and is perhaps the most iconic player in the All-Star Celebrity Game.

McKnight is on the list for a variety of reasons. He became the first MVP award winner in an ASC game. In 2005, McKnight gave his most memorable performance at ASCG. He displayed outstanding basketball skills and scored the winning goal for his team with less than 10 seconds remaining.
