“SNL” veteran Kate McKinnon will host her first show with musical guest Billie Eilish

The long-running sketch show “Saturday Night Live” is excited to welcome back former cast member Kate McKinnon for her hosting debut as it approaches its final episode of the year on the Studio 8H stage.

“SNL” revealed on social media on Wednesday that McKinnon has been chosen to wrap up 2023 as host of the December 16 show, featuring musical guest Billie Eilish.

The December 9 episode of “SNL” will be hosted by Adam Driver, the star of “Ferrari,” with pop singer Olivia Rodrigo serving as the musical guest.

In 2012, McKinnon made her debut as a cast member on Saturday Night Live. She left the show in 2022. In her ten years on the show, she quickly rose to the top of the popularity and adoration poll.

Following her departure from the programme, McKinnon has achieved enormous success. She starred as the quirky but oddly wise “Weird Barbie” in this year’s hit film “Barbie.”

Eilish has a connection with the film “Barbie,” as the film’s end credits feature her popular song “What Was I Made For,” which she co-wrote with her brother Finneas. Warner Bros. Pictures, which owns Warner Bros. Discovery, is the company behind “Barbie.”

It’s likely that their programme will have at least one “Barbie”-related sketch.

Oscar winner Emma Stone will be back hosting “SNL” on Saturday for her sixth season. Noah Kahan will be the musical guest on this episode.

On Saturdays at 8:30 p.m. PST/11:30 p.m. EST, NBC broadcasts “SNL.”
