Officially, Starfield is the biggest Bethesda game release ever

Starfield currently has more than 6 million users, making it Bethesda’s most successful game launch to date. The fact that it is the home of renowned series like Fallout and The Elder Scrolls makes it an especially significant milestone for the RPG maker.

The achievement was noted on X with a thank you from Bethesda to the players. Starfield has attracted more than 6 million players as of this morning, making it the biggest Bethesda game launch ever, the company said.

Comparatively, two days following its debut in 2011, Skyrim sold 3.4 million physical copies on the Xbox, PlayStation 3, and PC. That figure had increased to 10 million by December. In contrast, Fallout 4 broke the Grand Theft Auto 5 concurrent Steam sales record by selling 1.2 million copies in the first 24 hours of its release. Regardless of how you look at it, Starfield is off to a good start.

Everyone is playing Starfield

The latest achievement for Starfield comes after the announcement that it has surpassed one million concurrent players across all platforms. In a post on X, CEO Phil Spencer made his achievement public.

“Thanks to all the players who helped us reach this great milestone and congrats to [Bethesda Studios],” the Xbox head stated.

The expansive space epic from Bethesda, which led sales charts even before its September 6 formal debut, is off to a good start in its post-launch life.

Players have started recreating famous ships from films and television shows like Star Wars, Serenity, and Star Trek using Starfield’s ship maker, and many in-game allusions to other titles like Skyrim have already been found. Intelligent speedrunners have even worked out how to do it in less than three hours.

Here are all the things to do initially in Starfield, though, if you’re just starting started.

According to review, despite a rocky beginning and several basic annoyances, players are drawn to Starfield because of its “immense amount of quality roleplaying quests and interesting NPCs”.
