NASCAR 2024: Daytona 500 qualifying schedule at Daytona International Speedway

This weekend, Daytona International Speedway will play host to the Daytona 500. The 500-lap, action-packed race that will kick off the 2024 NASCAR Cup Series season is scheduled to start at 2:30 pm ET on Sunday, February 18, 2023.

This racing weekend, qualifying sessions will begin on Wednesday (Feb. 14) in advance of the Daytona 500 on Sunday. In an effort to claim pole for Sunday’s main event, each of the 42 competitors in the field will complete a single lap.

In qualifying, the driver with the best time will take the pole position, while the second-fastest driver will secure the second position on the front row. The Bluegreen Vacations Duels races on Thursday night will determine the remainder of the grid.

Daytona 500 qualifying order at Daytona International Speedway

The 2024 Daytona 500 qualifying order was revealed this weekend at Daytona International Speedway by Bob Pockrass of FOX Sports.

NASCAR conducted a random drawing to determine the order in which the field would roll off pit road during qualifying. Drivers who finish in the top 20 in the overall owner standings in 2023 will qualify for the final 20th place.

Cup Series qualifying begins with Carson Josevar on the first lap and Bubba Wallace on the last lap. The complete qualifying standings for the 2024 Daytona 500 are:
