Krispy Kreme celebrates St. Patrick’s Day by offering free doughnuts and launching 4 new flavors

Fans of doughnuts may be feeling luck on St. Patrick’s Day.

This is because, in celebration of the holiday, Krispy Kreme is bringing back the beloved Original Glazed Doughnut and introducing four new flavors.

Customers can purchase the new St. Patrick’s Day-themed doughnuts at select Krispy Kreme locations nationwide starting on March 11 and for a certain period of time, the company announced in a news release on Monday.

Customers wearing green are also eligible to receive a free Original Glazed Doughnut when they visit Krispy Kreme in-store or through a drive-through on March 15–17. No purchase is required. The O’riginal Glazed Doughnut is a green version of the iconic Krispy Kreme doughnut, exactly as it sounds.

New varieties of Krispy Kreme doughnuts

Among the four new doughnut flavors are:

1. Luck of the Rainbow Doughnut: An Original Glazed Doughnut covered in a green icing mixture, a rainbow explosion sprinkle blend, and a cloud of buttercream frosting.
2. Shamrock Cookies ‘N Kreme made with Oreo Cookies: An unglazed shell with an Oreo cookie-based cookies-and-Kreme filling, drizzled with white frosting, green drizzles, and St. Patrick’s Day fusion sprinkles
3. Plaid party donut: unglazed shell filled with white cream filling, dipped in chocolate icing and sprinkled with green icing
4. Shooting Shamrock Doughnut: An Original Glazed doughnut topped with a shamrock-shaped piece of sugar and dipped in a swirly light green frosting.

According to the firm, the four new doughnut tastes can be ordered in-store or through the Krispy Kreme app and website for pickup or delivery. Additionally, Krispy Kreme 6-packs are available to customers in specific grocery stores.
