There will be five medal events on the sixth day of competition at the Winter Youth Olympic Games (YOG) in Gangwon, 2024.
Alpine skiing, freestyle skiing, snowboarding, and speed skating all win medals, and the ice hockey and curling competitions go on.

Gangwon 2024: Key athletes to watch on day 6 of the Winter Youth Olympic Games
Next up for the alpine skiers is the slalom, where Britain’s Zak Carrick-Smith in the men’s division and Giorgia Collomb in the women’s event will be vying for their third Youth Olympic medals.
The freeski men’s slopestyle competition is scheduled for day six. Finley Melville Ives, a New Zealander who will compete in all three park and pipe events and has finished in the top 10 of the senior World Cup four times since his debut in December 2022, is one athlete to watch. Charlie Beatty of Canada is one of the athletes tipped for a medal.
In Welli Hilli, men’s snowboard slopestyle comes next. The hosts of Gangwon 2024 will be supporting Lee Chaeun, who at the age of 17 is an outstanding athlete on the senior circuit. At Gangwon 2024, Chaeun, the current halfpipe world champion, will also compete in slopestyle and big air. The young celebrity has experience competing in Olympic events; in Beijing 2022, he was called up at the last minute and placed 18th.
The mixed relay final and semi-finals are held at the Gangneung Oval in speed skating. With Angel Daleman on their team aiming for her third gold medal at these Games, the Netherlands are expected to be medal contenders. Watch out for Poland, Hungary, and the host country, the Republic of Korea.
