Finally, WhatsApp will be available on the iPad

WhatsApp is now available on the iPad in response to years of feverish demand. Although a web version eventually allowed users to view their conversations on a Mac or PC, the popular messaging app was initially exclusively accessible on iPhone and Android. The programme’s creators firmly refused to produce an iPad version of the app. before till today.

The beta release of WhatsApp version 23.19.1.71 through TestFlight was covered by WABetaInfo earlier this week. This version is the first to support the iPad and extend an iOS account to a second device utilising the companion mode that already exists.

There are some difficulties and limitations to be aware of. First off, you must be a member of the limited WhatsApp iOS TestFlight beta programme in order to use this as it is still in beta. It’s completely possible that the new version will have flaws that the developers are not yet aware of because it is still in the beta stage.

Second, installing WhatsApp on an iPad without first having access to an iPhone is still not doable. To use it, first install the beta versions on your iPad and iPhone. Then enter the iPhone’s settings and select the “Link a device” option. From this point on, WhatsApp is run independently on the iPad; you can switch off your iPhone or disconnect it from the internet, and the iPad will still receive all messages; however, you still need an iPhone in order to use WhatsApp in the first place.

Despite these cautions, this is excellent news for WhatsApp’s numerous Apple users, who have visited our How to get WhatsApp on iPad tutorial in great numbers over the years. Hopes are high that this function will be made available to all iPad owners in the near future, assuming the beta testing procedure is successful.
