Boxing 2023: KSI vs. Tommy Fury’s final result changed due to a judging error

Tommy Fury’s decision win over KSI on Saturday has been overturned after it was discovered that one scorecard had been added up incorrectly.

With two scorecards showing 57-56 in Fury’s favour and the other reading 57-57, the 24-year-old beat YouTuber KSI in Manchester by a majority decision. Fury is Tyson’s half-brother and the current heavyweight boxing world champion.

The judge’s scorecard, which read 57-57 for Fury but actually should have read 57-56 for him due to incorrect maths, was issued by Rafael Ramos. Fury has now been declared the winner by a unanimous decision in order to reflect this change in circumstances.

Despite being docked a point for illegal shots to the back of KSI’s head, Fury maintained his perfect record as a professional boxer with the victory, while KSI (actual name Olajide Olatunji) suffered his first loss.

However, KSI, 30, made fun of Fury following the fight, saying: “That is a robbery, bro. You landed how many blows? Look in the mirror at your eyes and face. You have to win because I’m the YouTuber and you’re the boxer.

“He is the man who is supposed to be the pro boxer. He hit me on the back of the head over and over. It is outrageous. I want to appeal. I need to see it again. I felt like I won that.”
