The Big 12 Wrestling Championships will take place at the BOK Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma on March 9–10. In late March, Big 12 wrestlers will compete for a conference championship and a spot in the NCAA Wrestling Tournament.
With a team score of 148 last year, the Missouri Wrestling Team won the Big 12 Championship for the second time in a row. Since 2012, this was the Tigers’ third victory in school history. Big 12 heavyweights Oklahoma State and Iowa State, who have finished in the top 5 the past two years, will try to break Missouri’s winning streak.

Big 12 wrestling is unlike any other sport. Missouri plays in the Southeastern Conference among other programs, but it also plays in the Big 12. The SEC does not recognize wrestling as a sport.
