When Does 'Peacemaker' Season 2 Premiere? Date, Time & Streaming Details

Returning to promote peace, John Cena will be presenting Season 2 of “Peacemaker.”

The show centers on the “explosive escapades” of Peacemaker, “a compellingly vainglorious man who believes in peace at any cost, no matter how many people he has to kill to get it,” and is based on the character from James Gunn’s 2021 film “The Suicide Squad,” according to HBO.

During the second season of the show, Peacemaker “discovers an alternate world where life is everything he wishes it could be.” He is forced, therefore, “to face his traumatic past and take the future into his own hands.”

Cena stated that Peacemaker “is going through a rough patch in life and thinks the grass might be greener on the other side” during a Comic-Con panel for the action-comedy series’ second season.

The actor went on to say, “That’s something people can relate to.”

James Gunn is the author of all eight of “Peacemaker” Season 2’s episodes and the director of three of them, including the premiere. According to Sarah Aubrey, HBO Max Head of Original Content, “Peacemaker” is also the first original DC series to debut on HBO Max.

Actor Steve Agee (John Economos) thought “it’s insane we’re showing it on cable” after seeing a very sexual scene in the first episode, which is why Gunn hinted at Comic-Con that Season 2 is more severe than the first and is unquestionably not for kids.
