How to Watch the Live-Action ‘Lilo & Stitch’ Online Now

The live-action adaptation of “Lilo & Stitch” will be accessible to watch at home on PVOD platforms such as Amazon Prime and Apple TV beginning July 22.

“Lilo & Stitch,” a remake of Disney’s 2002 animated action-comedy of the same name, tells the story of Stitch (voiced by Chris Sanders), a rambunctious blue alien who crash lands on Earth and is adopted by an eccentric young Hawaiian girl named Lilo (Maia Kealoha) and her caring older sister, Nani (Sydney Agudong). Through odd shenanigans and a shared love of Elvis, the two outsiders become kindred spirits and discover the true meaning of “Ohana.”

Beginning July 22, “Lilo & Stitch” will be available for purchase or rent on Amazon Prime, Apple TV, Fandango at Home, and YouTube. Fans can currently pre-order the film on Amazon for $29.99. On August 26, the film will also be available in K UHD, Blu-ray, and DVD format. As a Disney property, “Lilo & Stitch” will most certainly be accessible to stream on Disney+ later this year, following a several-week PVOD window.

“Lilo & Stitch” was directed by Dean Fleischer Camp and will be released in theaters on May 23. It had a $146,016,175 opening weekend, outperforming “Mission Impossible—The Final Reckoning,” which also debuted that weekend. It went on to earn more than $1 billion at the global box office, becoming the first film in 2025 to do so. It is the most recent of Disney’s live-action remakes, and it greatly outperformed “Snow White,” which debuted in March to a low total box office of $205,679,463 and received terrible reviews.

“Will audiences go for it?” Peter DeBruge, a Variety film critic, asks in his review. “What ‘Lilo & Stitch’ has in its favor is the emotionally solid blueprint provided by Sanders and DeBlois’ screenplay, which brings everything back to family, updated (and slightly expanded) here by Chris Kekaniokalani Bright and Mike Van Waes.”
