HBO’s horror drama series It: Welcome To Derry will release its second episode nearly three days early in honor of Halloween. At 12:00 a.m. PT/3:00 a.m. ET on Friday, October 31, HBO Max will premiere it. As planned, HBO will debut the episode on Sunday, November 2 at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT.
It is a holiday-related one-time exception. In the run-up to the season finale on Sunday, December 14, HBO and HBO Max will continue to air successive episodes of the eight-episode season on Sundays.
Filmmakers Andy Muschietti, Barbara Muschietti, and Jason Fuchs created Welcome to Derry for television, with Muschietti directing many episodes. The show is set in Stephen King’s “It” universe.
Jovan Adepo, Taylour Paige, Chris Chalk, James Remar, Stephen Rider, Blake Cameron James, Arian S. Cartaya, Amanda Christine, Matilda Lawler, Clara Stack, Madeleine Stowe, Rudy Mancuso, and Bill Skarsgård, who plays the evil Pennywise from the films, are among the cast members.
It: Welcome to Derry is executive produced by Andy and Barbara Muschietti (through their Double Dream production business), Fuchs, Brad Caleb Kane, David Coatsworth, Skarsgård, Shelley Meals, Roy Lee, and Dan Lin. It is produced by HBO and Warner Bros. Television. Kane is co-showrunner on the project with Fuchs, who authored the teleplay for the first episode.
