The 2025 Toyota U.S. Swimming Championships, held June 3–7 in Indianapolis, delivered world-class performances and dramatic finishes as America’s top swimmers battled for national titles and international roster spots. Katie Ledecky, Gretchen Walsh, and Bobby Finke each stole the show with dominant multi-event victories.
Ledecky once again proved her distance dominance, capturing three titles in the 400, 800, and 1500-meter freestyle. She capped off the meet by clocking an impressive 15:36.76 in the 1500m, solidifying her place atop the U.S. distance leaderboard.
Sprinter Gretchen Walsh broke new ground with a U.S. record in the 50-meter freestyle (23.91 seconds), earning her third gold of the week after wins in both butterfly events. On the men’s side, Bobby Finke showcased his endurance prowess with victories in the 400m IM, 800m, and 1500m freestyle.
Other standout performances included Jack Alexy’s win in the men’s 50m freestyle (21.36), Rex Maurer setting a U.S. Open record in the men’s 400m freestyle (3:43.33), and Shaine Casas narrowly edging Carson Foster in the 200m IM.
The championships also finalized Team USA selections for the 2025 World Aquatics Championships and other major international meets. With stars like Alex Walsh, Kate Douglass, and rising teen standout Luka Mijatovic also booking spots, Team USA looks poised for a strong summer campaign.
