NCAA DIII Women’s Lacrosse Championship History-

The NCAA Division III Women’s Lacrosse Championship has long celebrated the excellence, dedication, and legacy of some of the nation’s most storied athletic programs. Since its inception in 1985, this tournament has crowned champions that represent both tradition-rich dynasties and emerging powerhouses within the Division III landscape.

Middlebury College secured its third straight NCAA DIII women’s lacrosse national title in 2024, capping off an extraordinary run of dominance. With the win, Middlebury claimed its eighth national championship overall, further cementing its legacy as one of the most successful programs in DIII history.

This three-peat (2022–2024) mirrors the dominance once held by The College of New Jersey (TCNJ) and more recently, Salisbury University. Middlebury’s consistent excellence on both ends of the field, combined with elite coaching and team depth, has defined its recent championship success.
