Wisconsin Continues Rise in NCAA NET Rankings After Michigan State Win

Wisconsin basketball added another great win to their resume on Friday night, defeating No. 10 Michigan State 92-71.

The Badgers have three wins over top-10 opponents: No. 2 Michigan on January 10, No. 8 Illinois last Tuesday, and No. 10 Michigan State. These triumphs, part of a nine-game winning streak, have boosted a resume that looked weak following nonconference play. As has been the case many times under Greg Gard, the Badgers have improved during the season. Michigan State coach Tom Izzo praised that at a post-game press conference on Friday.

Wisconsin is still three games behind first place in the Big Ten standings and is not vying for a top seed in the NCAA Tournament. However, the squad is in peak form at the right time, making it a dangerous matchup for any top-seeded opponent in their region.
