Professional football isn’t the only sport Taylor Swift watches.
The music icon was seen visiting Arrowhead Stadium on August 28, but not to see the Kansas City Chiefs. Instead, she was seen enjoying a college football game at the Chiefs’ home, where Cincinnati and Nebraska played in Week 1.
The Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, who just days ago shocked the music and sports world by announcing their engagement, shown with her in a suite on the ESPN broadcast.
Swift, who frequently attends Chiefs games to cheer on her now-fiance, was also seen in the stadium’s tunnels.
Why is Taylor Swift at Cincinnati game vs. Nebraska?
Although Swift’s fandom of the Bearcats or Cornhuskers is unclear, it’s safe to assume that she supports them because Kelce played college football for Cincinnati. Cincinnati was his college from 2009 to 2012.
The game was in his team’s stadium, and Kelce was able to support his school even though the NFL regular season had not yet started.
During their relationship, the couple has attended various sporting events, such as the U.S. Open last year, Game 4 of the Stanley Cup Finals, and an MLB playoff game in October 2024.
Jason Kelce, a brother and former center for the Philadelphia Eagles, was also present, so he wasn’t the only NFL great there. In addition, he played for the Cincinnati Bearcats from 2007 to 2010. Swift recently made an appearance on the New Heights podcast, which is hosted by the Kelce brothers.
Patrick Mahomes, the quarterback for the Chiefs, is also attending the game. His attendance at the game is somewhat ironic given that Nebraska quarterback Dylan Raiola has earned his nickname “Baby Mahomes” due to his deliberate efforts to emulate Mahomes. Raiola has benefited from Mahomes’ guidance as he has navigated his time in college.
