In 2025, Quail Hollow Club in Charlotte, North Carolina, will host the second major golf tournament of the season, the PGA Championship.
Xander Schauffele, who won the British Open and this tournament last year, will be looking for his third major title. When Quail Hollow previously hosted the PGA in 2017, Justin Thomas prevailed by two shots. This competition was also won by Thomas in 2022.
Jordan Spieth’s quest to become the seventh male golfer to complete the career grand slam is one of the main plot points. Rory McIlroy’s stunning playoff triumph at the Masters in April made him the last person to achieve the feat.
The last golfer to win both the Masters and the PGA Championship in the same year was Jack Nicklaus in 1975, so McIlroy is also up against history. He accomplished it in 1963 as well.
