NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships 2025: Bracket, Dates, Schedule & How to Watch

Each year, Division I track and field teams sponsored by more than 250 NCAA member schools aim to compete in the championship competition. The championship meet, which has more than 20 events for both men and women, will wrap up a thrilling outdoor season.

On June 11, the last site championships get underway.

All the information you require for the 2025 NCAA outdoor track and field championships is provided here.

When is the championship field selected?

The final site selections for the 2025 DI women’s and men’s outdoor track and field competition will be revealed on Tuesday, June 3.

Selection in the first round

On March 1, qualifying performances for the first rounds of 2025 can start. On Sunday, May 18, the qualification window for all meets other than conference championships ends. On Monday, May 19, the conference championship meet qualifying window will close.

On Thursday, May 22, the athletes who have been allowed into the initial stages will be revealed.

Selection for the championship

On Thursday, May 22, the combined event athletes (decathlon and heptathlon) who have been accepted into the championship meet will be revealed.

Each first round sees the advancement of the top 12 teams from each relay event and the top 12 competitors from each individual event. By 5 p.m. ET on Sunday, June 1, the qualifiers from every event that will be contested in the opening rounds will be revealed. By Tuesday, June 3 at 3 p.m. ET, the final roster of competitors in the championship tournament will be revealed.

When are the first rounds of the 2025 NCAA?

Wednesday, May 28, through Saturday, May 31, is when the NCAA first rounds are held. The first rounds of the DI women’s and men’s competitions are held concurrently.

Where are the first rounds of the 2025 NCAA?

The east and west regions will have two venues for the meets. North Florida will host the NCAA East opening round, which will take place in Jacksonville, Florida. Texas A&M will host the NCAA West opening round, which will take place in College Station, Texas.

When will the NCAA outdoor track and field championships take place in 2025?

Wednesday, June 11 through Saturday, June 14 is when the 2025 NCAA outdoor track and field championships will take place. The championships for men and women are held at the same time.

Where are the 2025 NCAA outdoor track and field championships?

Hayward Field in Eugene, Oregon, will host the 2025 NCAA outdoor track and field championships. The outdoor championships will be contested in Oregon for the sixteenth time.

What is the event schedule?

The schedule of events for the 2025 NCAA DI Outdoor Track & Field Championships has been released by the NCAA. Times can change.

How are the participants selected?

The 2025 NCAA Division I Men’s and Women’s Outdoor Track and Field Championships participants will be chosen and announced by the NCAA Division I Men’s and Women’s Track and Field and Cross Country Committee.

For each individual event, the top 48 student-athletes who have been declared will advance to the first round of competition. For each relay event, the top 24 teams will advance to the first round of competition.

The first round is not attended by combined events. The top 24 student-athletes in each event, as determined by their ranking on the national descending-order list, will be admitted straight to the Championships for combined events (Heptathlon and Decathlon).

The east area and the west region each have their own opening rounds. The 2025 NCAA Division I Men’s and Women’s Outdoor Track and Field Championships will include the qualifiers from these two areas.
