Five of the top six seeds in the 2025 men’s soccer NCAA tournament lost in the brutal second round. Vermont, the previously undefeated national champion, was defeated by Hofstra in overtime.
The top-ranked team remaining in the Sweet 16, which takes place on Saturday and Sunday, is No. 4 Maryland.
