For many years, a “classic” game has been a top event in HBCU football. An even larger HBCU homecoming might bring alumni together to celebrate. Classic games and homecomings both have historical significance and frequently include rivals facing off. These games excite alumni, players, fans, and others.
There are several homecomings and classics in 2025 that include at least one FCS-level HBCU team. Schedule details for these games, as well as several other high-profile HBCU football games, such as the MEAC/SWAC Challenge and the Celebration Bowl, are shown below.
