“The D’Amelio Show” has been renewed for a second season, according to Hulu.
The show follows Charli and her family as they are thrust into the Hollywood spotlight almost overnight, and are faced with new challenges and opportunities they could never have imagined. It stars two of social media’s biggest stars, Charli and Dixie D’Amelio, along with their parents Marc and Heidi.
Season 1 premiered on Sept. 3 and followed the family as they settled into life in Los Angeles after migrating to the city to develop their careers after Charli, 16, and Dixie, 20, respectively, became two of the most popular TikTok stars for their dancing and singing.
Before her social media career took off, Charli D’Amelio was a competitive dancer, and she is widely regarded as the biggest TikTok celebrity with dances set to popular tunes. She just made her acting debut in the animated film StarDog and TurboCat, in which she voiced a character.
Dixie, who is now pursuing a career in music in Los Angeles, has tens of millions of fans on social media. Marc, her father, was a former Republican Senate candidate in Connecticut, and Heidi, her mother, is a photographer and former model.
The Intellectual Property Corporation’s Eli Holzman and Aaron Saidman, as well as showrunner Sara Reddy, executive produce “The D’Amelio Show.”
