NCAA Announces Men’s and Women’s Rifle Selections for 2026 National Collegiate Championship

The NCAA Men’s and Women’s Rifle Committee has revealed the teams and individuals that have qualified for the 2026 National Collegiate Men’s and Women’s Rifle Championships.

The championships, hosted by The Ohio State University, will take place on campus at the Covelli Center in Columbus, Ohio, from March 13 to 14.

The top eight teams in both the smallbore three-position and air rifle competitions were chosen based on the average of the three highest regular-season aggregate scores from no more than one match at any given location. The top eight teams were determined by adding the average of the three highest scores to the aggregate scores of the designated qualifiers.

Team Qualifiers (Smallbore Three-Position and Air Rifle)

  • Alaska Fairbanks
  • Georgia Southern
  • Kentucky
  • Navy
  • Nebraska
  • Ole Miss
  • TCU
  • West Virginia

The championships will feature 48 competitors, 40 of which will represent the top eight teams. The remaining eight competitors were chosen based on the scores from the assigned qualifier.

Individual Qualifiers (Smallbore Three-Position)

  • Addison Antwiler, Army West Point
  • Katrina Demerle, Memphis
  • Carlotta Salafia, Murray State
  • Lea Soulé, Murray State

Individual Qualifiers (Air Rifle)

  • Lily Wytko, Air Force
  • Caroline Martin, Murray State
  • Lily Miller, Air Force
  • Kameron Wells, UTEP

Alternates (Smallbore Three-Position)

  • Riley Dunn, Ohio State
  • Alexander Pohlman, VMI
  • Alternates (Air Rifle)
  • Abby Ballard, Murray State
  • Carlee Valenta, UTEP

Individual and team competitions in smallbore three-position (60 shots) will take place on Friday, March 13, followed by individual and team competitions in air rifle (60 shots) on Saturday, March 14. The overall team champion will be chosen by adding each institution’s smallbore and air rifle team total scores to create a single aggregate score.

West Virginia University won its sixth national championship since 2010, defeating the University of Kentucky by a score of 4,732. For more information on the 2026 rifle championships, go to ncaa.com.
