The Asian Shooting Confederation is hosting the meet in New Delhi, which will include rifle and pistol competitions.

In all, 311 shooters from 20 countries will participate in the Indian capital, with the hosts sending the most athletes—118 in the senior and junior divisions.

Over 50 competitors compete in 15 medal categories for India’s senior shooting team, which includes five 2025 defending champions.

Rajkanwar Singh Sandhu (25m center fire pistol), Gurpreet Singh (25m standard pistol), Elavenil Valarivan (10m air rifle), Sift Kaur Samra (50m rifle 3 positions), and Aishwary Pratap Singh Tomar (50m rifle 3 places) were among the winners from the previous year.

World champion Samrat Rana and world No. 2 Varun Tomar are in India’s men’s 10-meter air pistol lineup.

Manu Bhaker, a medallist from Paris 2024, will lead India in the women’s pistol division and compete in both the 25-meter pistol and the 10-meter air pistol events.

World No. 2 Suruchi Singh, who won the World Cup Final and the ISSF World Cup three times in 2025, is joining her.

At the previous year’s competition, Bhaker took home three bronze medals, including one for herself in the women’s 10m air pistol.

India’s aspirations in the women’s 50m rifle 3 positions are led by Olympian and previous global silver medallist Anjum Moudgil and Ashi Chouksey (world No. 14).
