Each season, 136 teams have the possibility to complete the perfect season. After Texas A&M lost to Texas in Week 14, only two teams remain to pursue this ambition. Last season, Oregon was the final team remaining and didn’t lose until the CFP quarterfinals.
The final team to finish a perfect season was Michigan, which won the national championship in 2023 after finishing 15-0.

The Hoosiers escaped in Week 11 on the road against Penn State, putting together a game-winning touchdown drive with no timeouts. Curt Cignetti’s squad trounced Purdue in Week 14 to conclude its undefeated regular season, and the Hoosiers will participate in the Big Ten Championship Game for the first time in program history.

- Up next: vs. Indiana | Big Ten Championship Game
- Last undefeated season: 2012 | 12-0 | Ineligible for postseason
The Buckeyes appear to be on track to compete for back-to-back national championships. Julian Sayin, a first-year starter, appears to be settling in at center. They ended an undefeated regular season by snapping a four game losing streak to No. 15 Michigan. In the Big Ten Championship Game, Indiana will play the Buckeyes.
