NCAA baseball playoff bracket projection: SEC & ACC top the final field forecast

The NCAA baseball tournament field will soon be unveiled, as all conference championships conclude on Sunday. When the actual bracket is announced on Monday at noon ET, the anticipation will end, but for the most part, we know who made the 64-team cut, with hopes of making it to Omaha, Nebraska, the final destination for the College World Series.

This is what we know. The winners of each of the 29 conferences are automatically seated. It’s also safe to assume that the SEC and ACC will account for the majority of the 35 teams invited at-large. Later this week, the 16 regionals will begin, with most of those events likely to be hosted by members of those two strong leagues.
