Houston Texans 2025 Opponents Released Before Full NFL Schedule

The Houston Texans had a 5-1 start to 2024 but faltered in the last stretch, finishing the season 5-6. Houston’s late-game struggles are due to injury, as is frequently the case in the NFL.

However, they were ultimately unable to defeat the Chiefs in the divisional round in Arrowhead, despite winning their second straight AFC South championship. Among the many gifted young quarterbacks in the division is C.J. Stroud. The first time the Texans have won back-to-back division titles since 2018 and 2019 is when they selected Stroud second overall.

This summer, Houston unexpectedly traded five-time Pro Bowl left tackle Laremy Tunsil to the Washington Commanders in exchange for a number of 2025 and 2026 NFL draft picks. In an attempt to strengthen the unit after Stroud was fired 52 times the previous season, the organization signed veterans Trent Brown and Cam Robinson.

Tank Dell is expected to miss the majority of the 2025 season recuperating from a severe knee injury, and wide receiver Stefon Diggs joined the Patriots in free agency. Christian Kirk, a seasoned receiver, was acquired by the Texans in early March in exchange for a seventh-round pick.

Houston addressed further offensive issues with its first three draft selections. To add depth behind Kirk and Nico Collins, the Texans selected wide receivers Jayden Higgins and Jaylin Noel in the first three rounds. In the second round, they also selected Aireontae Ersery, who was thought to be among the best offensive linemen available in the 2025 draft.

Joe Mixon, a seasoned running back, and rising talent Nico Collins lead the offense.

DeMeco Ryans, the head coach, has shown himself to be a great leader for the team and one of the best defenses in the NFL. The majority of the team’s starters on that side of the ball were kept on. They reached long-term agreements with Jalen Pitre and Derek Stingley Jr. Star pass rusher Danielle Hunter agreed to a one-year contract extension, and the team that led ESPN’s 2024 pass rush victory rate is led by Will Anderson Jr.

In 2025, will the Texans be serious contenders for the Super Bowl? Here are some of the opponents they will face in the upcoming season.

Fans should anticipate a similar time this year, as the NFL revealed the entire 2024 schedule at 8 p.m. ET last year.
