In India, jaggery is widely consumed and utilised in a variety of foods, including desserts and sweets. It is an unrefined sugar with several benefits. It can be used in place of refined sugar and artificial flavourings and is often derived from sugarcane juice. As an alternative to refined sugar, you may also use it in your cakes.

Jaggery, also known as gur, is typically created from sugarcane, but it can also be produced from date palm and coconut sap.   5. There may be a blood pressure benefit. It contains potassium, which works to counteract the effects of sodium in the body and control blood pressure.
