Ye Finally Launches ‘Donda 2’ Album on All Streaming Platforms

For the first time, Ye’s (formerly Kanye West) Donda 2 album is available on streaming sites. The project was only accessible on the Stem Player until Wednesday, April 30, then West debuted the sequel in February 2022.

Donda 2 has not yet been released on Apple Music, although it is currently accessible on Spotify and YouTube Music. XXXTENTACION, Don Toliver, Migos, Jack Harlow, Travis Scott, Playboi Carti, Baby Keem, Future, and others are among the 18 tracks on the project.

The album was executive produced by Future, and the cover art, which shows Ye’s childhood home on fire, hasn’t changed.

While Ye focused on the Stem Player technology, several of the tracks were left unfinished and never made it to streaming sites. In February 2022, West held a listening session within Miami’s LoanDepot Park to debut the album.

Ye also included tracks like “City of Gods,” the lead single from the Brooklyn drill rapper’s B.I.B.L.E. album, featuring Fivio Foreign and Alicia Keys. This song was released right before the Donda 2 listening session. On the Billboard Hot 100, the song peaked at number 46.

West felt strongly enough about the cleaned-up version of “530” to include it on the streaming release of Donda 2, even though it was one of the unfinished standouts on Ye and Ty Dolla $ign’s Vultures 2 album.

“Sci-Fi” still features Kim Kardashian’s 2021 Saturday Night Live monologue. She may be heard opening the song with the words, “I married the best rapper of all time,” she can be heard saying to start the track. “Not only that, he is the richest Black man in America. A talented, legit genius who gave me four incredible kids.”

The majority of April has seen West locked up in Spain. On Tuesday night (April 29), Well-known streamers Digital Nas, Sneako, and N3on joined a masked Ye in a live stream debut of Donda 2.

West has come under criticism in recent months for his divisive, hateful X rants. Regarding music, he published a visual version of his Bully album in March.
