YAIAA Playoffs: Who Will Rise in the Softball Title Chase?

The 2025 YAIAA Softball Tournament is set to commence, featuring the top six teams from the York-Adams Interscholastic Athletic Association. The tournament will take place from May 8 to May 12, 2025, with games scheduled at various locations, including Spring Grove and Susquehannock High Schools.

Last year’s softball and baseball tournaments had to be canceled due to bad weather. Coach Maelynn Leber of Central York softball hopes that doesn’t occur.

She made the statement, “Otherwise it’s a big break before districts,” following her Panthers’ victory against New Oxford to secure their tournament spot.

On May 19, districts are scheduled to begin operations.

At Susquehannock, Division I runner-up Central York will play Division III co-champ Littlestown in the tournament’s opening match. At South Western, Biglerville, the other co-champ, will take on Susquehannock, the Division II runner-up. The start time for both games is 4:30 p.m.

Both Division II champion Kennard-Dale and Division I champion South Western received first-round byes.

Tournament Schedule

Quarterfinals – May 8, 2025:

• Biglerville vs. Susquehannock at South Western, 4:30 p.m.
• Littlestown vs. Central York at Susquehannock, 4:30 p.m.

Semifinals – May 9, 2025:

• South Western vs. Biglerville/Susquehannock winner at Spring Grove, 4:30 p.m.
• Kennard-Dale vs. Littlestown/Central York winner at Susquehannock, 4:30 p.m.

Championship – May 12, 2025:

• Semifinal winners at Spring Grove, 4:30 p.m.
