Xiaomi recently revealed that it will produce the XRING 01, a smartphone processor that will be used in next products.
In response to speculation, Xiaomi declared today that it will introduce its own smartphone chip later this month. It appears that the business has been developing the “XRING 01” chip for more than a decade.
The chip’s specifications are currently limited, however GizmoChina cites recent leaks that indicate it is constructed using TSMC’s 4nm technology. In terms of raw power, the chip is said to have a 1+3+4 configuration and should trail only slightly behind the Snapdragon 8 Elite and Dimensity 9400, which sounds similar to Google’s work with Tensor processors.
Perhaps the most well-known example of an Android company using its own designs for the Tensor chips used in Pixel smartphones instead of using chips from the two major manufacturers, Qualcomm and MediaTek, is Google. Samsung also has its Exynos range, which is utilized in several Galaxy devices, and Huawei also produces its own CPUs, albeit for quite different reasons.
It is anticipated that Xiaomi’s XRING 01 processor would make its debut in the Xiaomi 15s soon.
