The stage is prepared to host the WWE king and queen.
WWE now looks to Night of Champions, where the renowned King and Queen of the Ring will be crowned, after Money in the Bank. WWE has reinstated the King of the Ring, which has been held periodically since 1985, along with the new Queen of the Ring, on an annual basis.
A tournament is held to fight for each title, and the Night of Champions is where the finals are held. There is even more motivation to win the tournament now because the king and queen each have a chance to compete at SummerSlam, even though the winners become royalty and get a dazzling crown for their triumph.
The competition will begin on the June 9 Raw program and conclude on the June 28 final.
