California holds the record for the most Men’s College World Series titles among all states, with Southern California leading the way with 12 titles, the highest for any school. Additionally, California was the first state to claim a Men’s College World Series title in 1947, marking the beginning of its two-title journey. In other achievements, Cal State Fullerton has secured four titles, while Stanford clinched consecutive titles in 1987 and 1988. UCLA, Fresno State, and Pepperdine each contribute to The Golden State’s championship legacy with one title apiece.
9 — Arizona
Arizona has achieved a total of nine titles, with Arizona State edging out its southern counterpart Arizona by a score of 5-4 in titles. Both programs have a 50 percent success rate in championship finals, with the Wildcats last winning the title in 2012, bringing it back to The Grand Canyon State.
8 — Louisiana
All Men’s College World Series titles from Louisiana have been claimed by the LSU Tigers. The Tigers rank second in total titles among programs, with their most recent victory occurring in 2025.

Texas has secured seven Men’s College World Series titles, predominantly through the Texas Longhorns, who have won six in total. The Longhorns made history by winning the inaugural Men’s College World Series title in Omaha in 1949. Since that time, they have matched their number of national runner-up finishes in the College World Series finals with their titles. Rice also adds to The Lone Star State’s accolades by winning the title in 2003.
5 — Florida
The Sunshine State boasts five titles throughout its history, with Miami (FL.) leading the charge with four titles. The Hurricanes have triumphed in four out of six finals appearances, including a victory over in-state rival Florida State in 1999. The Florida Gators secured the most recent title among Sunshine State teams, winning it in 2017.
