When Will ‘The Bad Guys 2’ Be Available to Stream Online?

The Bad Guys 2, the follow-up to the popular animated comedy from 2022, which has voices by Sam Rockwell, Awkwafina, and Anthony Ramos, is currently showing in theaters. How soon will it be possible to see the film at home?

The voices of Marc Maron, Craig Robinson, Danielle Brooks, Natasha Lyonne, Maria Bakalova, Zazie Beetz, Richard Ayoade, Lilly Singh, and Alex Borstein are also featured in The Bad Guys 2, which is based on Aaron Blabey’s New York Times best-selling book series.

The Bad Guys 2 will initially be available on digital streaming services through premium video on demand when it enters the home entertainment market.

Even though The Bad Guys 2 is a DreamWorks Animation movie, Universal Pictures is handling its theatrical and streaming distribution. Typically, it takes 18 days to a month for a Universal Pictures film to be available on PVOD after it opens in theaters.

Wolf Man, a horror film from Universal Pictures, for example, debuted via PVOD on February 4, just 18 days after its January 17 theater debut. Additionally, Universal Pictures’ Drop made its PVOD debut on April 29, just 18 days after its April 11 theatrical debut.

More recently, on July 15, little over a month after its June 13 theatrical debut, Universal’s live-action adaptation of How to Train Your Dragon debuted on PVOD.

Since new movies are usually launched on digital streaming on Tuesdays, The Bad Guys 2 should be available on PVOD at any time between August 19 and September 2.

Which streaming service will be the first to provide “The Bad Guys 2”?
Since The Bad Guys 2 is being distributed by Universal Pictures, Peacock, NBC Universal’s streaming service, will be the first location to offer it on PVOD.

After a Universal Pictures film releases in theaters, it usually takes three months for it to be shown on Peacock.

For instance, little more than three months after its January 17 theatrical premiere, Wolf Man made its Peacock debut on April 18. Three months to the day following its April 11 theatrical debut, Drop was released by Peacock on July 11.

Since new movies on Peacock premiere on Fridays, The Bad Guys 2 should be available on the streaming service by October 31 if the release schedule is consistent.

The Bad Guys 2 is rated PG and will be available in theaters around the country on Friday.
