In less than a week, LSU football will play its last game of the season. LSU will play Houston in the Kinder’s Texas Bowl on December 27.
It is LSU’s second straight trip to the Texas Bowl. To end 2024, LSU defeated Baylor.
With a 7-5 record going into the game, LSU takes on a Houston club seeking for victory No. 10. In his second year at Houston, former Tulane head coach Willie Fritz made great progress. Fritz appears to be on the same path as the Cougars and has won everywhere he has gone.
As is typically the case for these bowl games, LSU won’t be playing at full strength. QB Garrett Nussmeier, who missed the final three games of the regular season and ended his LSU career, will still be absent from the Tigers.
Mansoor Delane, a cornerback, and several other key players will be absent from LSU’s defence.
