The 2026 Grammy Awards are set to take place in Los Angeles today, February 1, making it the biggest night in music.

The 68th Grammy Awards, which honor the “best in music,” are hosted by the Recording Academy. A press release states that the organization “is preparing for another historic night that will see dynamic performances, new categories, and can’t-miss moments.”

“We do not exhale. We’re always holding our breath trying to create one of the most complicated shows and focus on celebrating music,” Recording Academy CEO Harvey Mason Jr. earlier told.

Kendrick Lamar is a dominant nominee for the second year in a row, receiving nominations for album of the year for his fifth consecutive studio album, “GNX,” as well as single and song of the year for his duet with tour partner SZA, “Luther.”

Following closely behind is Lady Gaga and producers Cirkut and Jack Antonoff with seven nominations; songwriter-turned-artist Leon Thomas, producer/engineer Serban Ghenea, pop princess Sabrina Carpenter and Super Bowl headliner Bad Bunny with six; and the assembly of producer/songwriter Andrew Watt, hip-hop veterans Clipse, Pusha T & Malice, last year’s best rap album winner Doechii, producer/songwriter Sounwave, hip-hop trailblazer SZA, hard rock band Turnstile and hip-hop singer/producer Tyler, the Creator notching five nominations each.

In the running for the prestigious album of the year award is Bad Bunny for “DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS,” Justin Biever for “SWAG,” Sabrina Carpenter for “Man’s Best Friend,” Clipse, Pusha T & Malice for “Let God Sort Em Out,” Lady Gaga for “MAYHEM,” Kendrick Lamar for “GNX,” Leon Thomas for “MUTT,” and Tyler, The Creator for “CHROMAKOPIA.”

The varied lineup of top nominees illustrates the efforts of the Recording Academy to diversify its approximately 15,000 voting members.

According to a news release, the red carpet is scheduled to open at 6 p.m. ET/3 p.m. PT, ahead of the performance.

How to watch the 2026 Grammys?

The award ceremony will be streamed live and on demand on Paramount+ from 5 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. PT (8 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. ET) and broadcast live on the CBS Television Network. Customers with the SHOWTIME add-on can also view the 2025 Grammys live as it airs on CBS, while Paramount+ Essential subscribers will be able to stream it the day after it airs.

The Recording Academy will offer exclusive Grammys content, including interviews and red-carpet arrivals that will be livestreamed by the Recording Academy at live.GRAMMY.com.

A pre-recorded early Grammy awards presentation will be shown on live.grammy.com and YouTube at 3:30 p.m. ET / 12:30 PT. This year’s ceremony includes 94 distinct awards.

According to a news release, fans can watch “GRAMMY Live From The Red Carpet” on live.GRAMMY.com starting at 6 p.m. ET.

E! also hosts its own shows. The network’s “Countdown to the Grammys” begins at 4 p.m. ET. Then, “Live from E! Grammys” will air from 6 to 8 p.m. ET.

Who will host the 2026 Grammys?

Trevor Noah will return as master of ceremonies for the 2026 Grammys, his sixth consecutive year in the role.

Mason Jr. of the Recording Academy told USA TODAY that Noah “has been the perfect host” and praised him with the event’s development and for being a “big part of the reason our show is what it is.”

“He’s funny, smart, respectful, full of positive energy and he’s also a huge fan of music,” Mason Jr. told reporters. “He loves music, and it comes through. He does not tolerate jabs at the expense of the community. There’s nothing cringeworthy. There is enough of that going around.”

  • Post Malone, Andrew Watt, Chad Smith, Duff McKagan, and Slash will perform a special tribute to Ozzy Osbourne.
