The tour began in 2023 and ended 21 months later in December 2024, with Swift visiting 21 countries on five continents and performing 149 three-hour shows.

The Eras Tour, unlike any other tour in history, showcased the singer’s most important and beloved hits from every phase of her career, spanning her vast discography—which her now fully owns after repurchasing her masters this past summer.

With a special focus on the dancers and crew—from the band and choreographers to the music technicians—this documentary series also highlights the numerous moving components needed to make the show a reality. Swift is seen in a touching moment giving her Eras Tour crew and truck drivers handwritten thank-you notes and a whopping $5.5 million in bonuses.

The majority of the footage in the first two episodes focuses on Swift’s final performances at London’s Wembley Stadium in August 2024, after her gigs in Vienna were canceled due to a terrorist plot that was discovered by the authorities. At a Taylor Swift-themed dancing lesson in Liverpool, Swift is seen obviously upset while visiting the families of survivors and the relatives of children killed in a fatal knife attack. This is another tragic moment.

While Swift’s fiancé, Travis Kelce, hasn’t yet made an appearance on television, viewers can hear his voice during a pre-show phone call that cheers the singer up before her farewell London performances. Additionally, he makes a unique onstage cameo at Wembley, which fans will probably see in a later episode.
