When and Where to Watch Miracle and Miracle: Boys of ’80 Documentary

Miracle The Boys of 80 documentary

There are two movies available for streaming on the 1980 U.S. Men’s Hockey team’s “Miracle on Ice”: Miracle and Miracle: The Boys of ’80.

Both Miracle (2004) and Miracle: The Boys of ’80 (2025) are based on the miracle triumph of the United States. On February 22, 1980, at the Lake Placid, New York, Winter Olympics, the men’s hockey team defeated the Soviet Union 4-3 in the semi-finals. Two days later, on February 24, 1980, the U.S. team defeated Finland 4-2, winning the gold medal.

The United States Men’s Team did not win another gold medal until Sunday, when the 2026 team defeated Canada 2-1 in overtime. The fact that the victory came on the 45th anniversary of the 1980 “Miracle on Ice” game against the Soviets added to its significance.

The victory by the United States Men’s Hockey Team closed off a historic week for the Americans, as the United States Women’s Hockey Team defeated Canada 2-1 on Thursday.

Replays of the U.S. Men’s and Women’s gold medal games at the 2026 Milano Cortina Winter Olympics are available on Peacock, as well as Miracle and Miracle: The Boys of ’80.
