The date of the 2025 SWAC Championship is Saturday, December 6, 2025. The East and West divisional champions will compete. The title game will air at 3 p.m. ET on ESPN2.
Who will compete in the SWAC Championship in 2025?
For the SWAC championship, Jackson State, the SWAC East division winner, will take on Prairie View A&M, the SWAC West division winner.
Where is the 2025 SWAC Championship?
Jackson State’s home stadium, Mississippi Veterans Memorial Stadium in Jackson, Mississippi, will host the SWAC Championship after a tiebreaker victory over Alabama State.
Every year the SWAC Championship is played at the home stadium of either the SWAC East or SWAC West division champion. The championship game is hosted by the division winner with the best conference record.
According to the SWAC website, these are the procedure in case a tiebreaker is required:

- Overall conference record versus common divisional and non-divisional opponents
- Record versus divisional opponents
- Football Championship Subdivision Coaches Poll (FCS) ranking
- NCAA FCS Simple Ratings System
- Best point differential between the tied teams, common head-to-head match ups
- Best point differential between the tied teams common head-to-head match ups, against teams with the best overall (divisional and non-divisional) record and proceeding through other common non-divisional teams based on their order of finish
- Coin flip

Which division has the most SWAC titles?
With the exception of Texas Southern’s vacated 2010 title, the SWAC West leads the SWAC East 13–12 in SWAC title games. The last seven SWAC football titles have been won by the SWAC East.
