Tulsa Wins 2025 American Women’s Golf Championship with Romaine Massery Wins Individual Title

On Wednesday, the Tulsa Hurricane won the 2025 American Women’s Golf Championship, taking the lead after each round. The Golden Hurricane recorded a 5-under 283 in round three to finish with a 54-hole total of 12-under 852, using a 15-stroke lead going into the final round. Tulsa wins its second American Women’s Golf Championship, joining Houston (3), UCF (2), and SMU (2) as the fourth program to win multiple conference titles.

Over 55 rounds on the last day, the average score was 74.25. Teams averaged 74.99 across the three days on the 54-hole course.

Individual champion Romaine Massery lead the Golden Hurricane with a final score of 7-under 209 after three rounds. All three of Tulsa’s scorers were in the top ten: Sydney Seigal ended at par with a score of 216, Jennifer Roller finished sixth with 2-under 214, and Lovisa Gunnar took third place with 3-under 213.

Jette Schulze, the individual runner-up with a final score of 6-under 210, led Charlotte. Freshman Pinky Chaisilprungruang finished tied for third place with a total of 3-under 213 over the three days.

In the last round, Florida Atlantic moved up three spots to take third place. The Owls’ leader, Charlotte Perkins, finished the competition with a 3-under 213 score, tying for third place overall.

As a team, East Carolina shot 14-over 878 and finished in fourth place. Zoe Allaux led the Owls with a score of 4-over 220, placing her in 13th position.

North Texas, which shot 16 over 880 for the tournament, completed the top 5 teams. Mason Lewis shot 1-over 217 over the three days, finishing in 9th place.

Other Top 10 finishers in the championship were Nancy Cox of Florida Atlantic, who tied for 9th place with a score of 2-over 217, and Kate Tilma of Wichita State, who ended in 7th place with a score of 216.
