Tonight marked the start of Season 27 of The Voice’s Live Shows, with coaches John Legend, Adam Levine, Kelsea Ballerini, and Michael Bublé each having two artists they had chosen to advance to the Lives. However, each coach also got to add a twist: in this season’s twist, the Super Save, each coach was allowed to bring back one eliminated team member.
Michael picked Adam David and Jadyn Cree, Kelsea picked Iris Herrera and Alanna Lynise, John picked Bryson Battle and RENZO, and Adam had Lucia Flores-Wiseman and Kolby Cordell going into the Lives.
Who did they bring back, then, was the key question.
They were Ethan Eckenroad, Britton Moore, and Conor James for Adam; Darius J, Jaelen Johnston, and Tinika Wyatt for Kelsea; Ari Camiile, BD.ii, and Olivia Kuper Harris for John; and Barry Jean Fontenot, Angie Rey, and Kaiya Hamilton for Michael.
Then America cast its first vote of the season. Here is our detailed account of what happened, complete with spoilers.
