The release date of “The Legend of Aang: The Last Airbender” has been rescheduled from January 30 to October 9, 2026.
Additionally, “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem 2” has been postponed, according to Paramount Pictures. The sequel to “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem,” which was originally scheduled to debut on October 9, 2026, will now open on September 17, 2027, one year later. However, “Paw Patrol: The Dino Movie,” which was originally scheduled for release on July 31, 2026, is now launching widely on July 24, 2026, one week earlier.
Dave Bautista, Steven Yeun, and Eric Nam will be the main voices in “The Legend of Aang: The Last Airbender,” as was previously reported. William Mata will co-direct, with Lauren Montgomery serving as the director.
The movie is set years after the events of “Avatar: The Last Airbender,” which was released in 2005 and follows 12-year-old Aang, a long-lost Avatar who discovered how to control the elements and protect the world from the ruthless Fire Nation.
Jeff Rowe, the director and co-writer of “Mutant Mayhem,” will direct and produce the TMNT sequel for Point Grey Pictures. A two-season television show that will act as a “bridge” between the films is being planned by Paramount Pictures and Nickelodeon Movies. “Tales of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” is the name of the spinoff series that will air on Paramount+. Brady Noon, Nicolas Cantu, Micah Abbey, and Shamon Brown Jr. are all expected to return.
Jameela Jamil, Terry Crews, Paris Hilton, Snoop Dogg, Bill Nye, Meredith MacNeill, and “PAW Patrol” veteran Ron Pardo will all be on “Paw Patrol,” which landed a week earlier. As previously revealed, Carter Young will play Marshall, Hayden Chemberlen will play Rex, Rain Janjua will play Chase, William Desrosiers will play Rocky, and Henry Bolan will play Ryder. Lucien Duncan-Reid and Nylan Parthipan will reprise their roles as the adored “PAW Patrol” puppies Rubble and Zuma.
In collaboration with Nickelodeon Films, it is being produced by Jennifer Dodge, Laura Clunie, and Toni Stevens of Spin Master Entertainment, with executive producer Ronnen Harary, a co-founder of Spin Master.
