‘The Daily Show’ Is Back From Hiatus — Here’s When and Where to Watch

Jon Stewart’s show, “The Daily Show,” is making a comeback to television after a brief summer break.

Co-host Desi Lydic assured nervous viewers that the Emmy and Peabody award-winning late-night comedy series’ extended summer vacation did not stem from a comparable circumstance to CBS’s cancelation of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert in May.

“We’re going on a production break for August, which was planned months and months ago. So don’t freak out,” Lydic said in July.

The break comes after the 2024 return of Jon Stewart, who shot to stardom during his first term as host, as a one-day-per-week anchor. Before he left the desk in 2022, Trevor Noah, Stewart’s first replacement, filled in for him most of the time. Comedians Michael Kosta, Jordan Klepper, Josh Johnson, Ronny Chieng, and Lydic all host episodes in addition to Stewart.

According to program representative Parker Moreno, the series will resume airing on September 8, 2025, at 11 p.m. ET/10 p.m. CT, following a “pre-planned” break, USA TODAY said.

Comedy Central’s “The Daily Show” airs weeknights from 11 p.m. ET/10 p.m. CT, Monday through Thursday. New episodes will be available for streaming on Paramount+ the following day.
