When is the SWAC Championship in 2025?
This Saturday, December 6, 2025, is the date of the 2025 SWAC Championship. It will include the East and West divisional champions. At 3 p.m. ET, ESPN2 will broadcast the championship game.
Who is participating in the SWAC Championship in 2025?
The SWAC title will be decided by the matchup between the SWAC East and West division winners.
Where is SWAC Championship 2025?
Whichever division champion wins the SWAC East or SWAC West gets to host the SWAC Championship. The finals are hosted by the division winner with the best conference record.

- Overall conference record versus common divisional and non-divisional opponents
- Record versus divisional opponents
- Football Championship Subdivision Coaches Poll (FCS) ranking
- NCAA FCS Simple Ratings System
- Best point differential between the tied teams, common head-to-head match ups
- Best point differential between the tied teams common head-to-head match ups, against teams with the best overall (divisional and non-divisional) record and proceeding through other common non-divisional teams based on their order of finish
- Coin flip

In SWAC title games, excepting Texas Southern’s vacated 2010 title, the SWAC West leads the SWAC East 13–12. Seven of the previous seven SWAC football titles have been won by the SWAC East.
Alcorn State was formerly in the East division but joined the West division in 2021.
